European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance

We are pleased to confirm that we comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR regulations will require that we keep our European customers’ data protected, per the standards set in GDPR. Even though we don’t have a physical office or other presence in Europe, this still applies to Steinwick.

The GDPR applies to all EU member states and was implemented on May 25, 2018. The law applies to all businesses and organisations.

As a company that transfers personal data on EU clients and candidates must comply with the GDPR.

The regulations outline “Controllers” and “processors” of data. A data controller states how and why personal data is processed, while a processor is the party doing the actual processing of the data. Even if controllers and processors are based outside the EU, the GDPR will still apply to them so long as they’re dealing with personal data belonging to EU residents.

Steinwick has put in place processes and procedures to comply with the various provisions of GDPR – data protection addendum, data deletion, data retention, and Pseudonymation/ anonymization. In addition, Steinwick has appointed a Data Protection Officer and Article 27 representative, and has incorporated GDPR principles in our service development planning. And we will work with our clients, where practical, to complete a Data Protection Impact Assessment policy.

You can review the original GDPR draft document of the EU member states agreement in principal here: http://data.consilium.europa.eu/doc/document/ST-5419-2016-INIT/en/pdf

If you have any questions or queries around how we handle and store your data, as a client, candidate, or supplier, please contact our designated Data Protection Officer/Appointed Person Dominic Judd, who can be contacted at Steinwick, 90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE.
